Defence & Industry Study Course (DISC) 2012

The Defence & Industry Study Course (DISC) is currently undergoing a review to ensure that the course objectives align with the expectations of key Defence and industry stakeholders.  It is anticipated that this review will be completed by the end of February 2012.

Nominations for the 2012 course will be sought in late March of 2012.  It is expected that Module 1 of the 2012 course will commence in June/July 2012.

The Defence and Industry Study Course, and its review, is being managed by the DMO Commercial Group's Directorate of Major Events.  If you have any further questions regarding the DISC please contact the Directorate of Major Events via email at; DMO.DISC@defence.gov.au

We have had a number of inquiries about the DISC review. The aim of the review is to determine if the course is meeting the requirements of all stakeholders. The review is not a SRP initiative, but will be undertaken to ensure that DISC provides the best value for money for Industry and Defence to meet course objectives.

The Terms of Reference for the review are:

  • Consider the findings of any previous reviews of DISC;
  • Obtain and provide feedback from key stakeholders on the current DISC program;
  • Define the requirements for DISC from key stakeholders from Industry and Defence;
  • Recommend course objectives for the DISC;
  • Analyse the current course program against DISC objectives; and
  • Recommend a program to meet course objectives, whilst providing value for money for Industry and Defence.

If you would like to be contacted for an interview or to make a submission, please email DMO Major Events at DMO.Majorevents@defence.gov.au
