The Defence and Industry Study Course (DISC) and its predecessor has been run annually by Defence for more than 50 years. A review of the course was undertaken in early 2012. The course objectives have been redefined to ensure the course remains current and provides better outcomes for participants, Defence and Industry.

The DISC aims to provide insights into Defence Force acquisition and sustainment strategies and participants will become better equipped to understand the specific needs of the Australian Defence Force. The course gives participants the opportunity to share ideas and problem-solve and build important business contacts.
